The walk was part of an ongoing programme at the school which sees year 8 students having a year 13 mentor. The idea is to get the school’s new students accustomed to life at grammar school.

Principal Michael James, congratulated all the students for their generosity and concern for others, as well as thanking Mrs Lorraine McCool for co-ordinating the fund-raising element of the event, and Vice Principal Mrs Belinda Toner, and teachers Mrs Catherine Doherty (Head of Year 13) and Mrs Michelle McGill (Head of Year 8) for enthusing the students in the forging of positive relationships as the school year progresses.
