Local musician takes to the stage at First Lisburn

on Friday April 29 at 7.30pm.

Hayley performs regularly on various concert platforms throughout the Province both as a violinist and a solo soprano.

She brings a programme of varied and popular classical gems, which are sure to be well-known favourites.

Hayley is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Conservatoire who now works as a professional freelance violin teacher, singer and concert violinist. Joining Hayley at First Lisburn at the end of the month will be the singers from the Belfast Phoenix Choir.

The choir was formed in 1936 by the choirmaster of Kirkpatrick Presbyterian Church, William Boyd, and at the time was called the Ormiston Choir.

William Boyd remained the conductor until his death in 1988 and it was felt that the name ‘Ormiston’ should always remain with Mr Boyd so the choir was renamed ‘Belfast Phoenix Choir’.

The choir has had a number of conductors over the years and their most current conductors is Mark McGrath.

There is a suggested donation of £10 and all proceeds will go towards First Lisburn Presbyterian Church’s 325 Project.
