Limavady home ransacked by thieves

Police are on the hunt for burglars who ransacked a house in Limavady and stole jewellery and cash at the weekend.

The PSNI are appealing for information following the burglary, which took place at a house in the Mount Eden area of Limavady.

Constable Johnny Loughrey said: “Sometime between 11.00pm on Friday, 28 August and 1.00am on Saturday, 29 August a house was entered and ransacked. A quantity of jewellery and a sum of money was stolen during this burglary.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area, or anyone who has any information about this incident to contact Police at Limavady on the non-emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
