Laurelhill pupilsenjoy school trip to Krakow

TWENTY three students and three teachers from Laurelhill Community College recently arrived back from a visit to Krakow, Poland.

Highlights of the trip included a visit to Auschwitz Birkenau, Oskar Schindler’s Factory and to the world famous Wieliczka Salt Mines.

The visit to Poland’s notorious extermination camp was a shocking and very moving experience and all students agreed that it really brought the horrors of the Holocaust to life.

The students now look forward to welcoming a Holocaust Survivor into the college in June to recount her own personal experiences about life in the camps.
