Kyle's artistic talent wows judges

AN ARTISTIC pupil from Ashgrove Primary School has won the top prize in an art competition organised by the Belfast Operatic Company.

Eleven-year-old Kyle Bainbridge took on thousands of budding artists to win the senior section (P5 - P7) of the Beauty & The Beast Art Competition. His amazing picture of Belle dancing with the Beast was chosen by the judges from more than 15,000 entries.

The schools’ art competition was organised by the Belfast Operatic Company to promote their upcoming production of the classic Disney musical, which will run at the Grand Opera House, Belfast from March 24 - 28.

Kyle received his prize - four tickets to see Beauty & The Beast and passes for a special backstage tour - at school last Wednesday (February 24). His winning picture will be among a selection of entries that will be on display in the Grand Opera House during the week of the show.
