Handbag stolen after car window smashed at Draperstown church

Police are appealing for information after a car was broken into in a church carpark in Draperstown, and a handbag stolen.

The incident was reported to have taken place sometime between 3.45-3.55pm in the Moneyneany Road area of the town on Sunday, 5 July.

The car window was smashed during the theft.

Constable Timothy Cooke said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of this incident and in particular the driver of a white van, who may have information which would assist Police with their enquiries to contact Police at Magherafelt on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
