Great all round display

Tullygally Res 3 Scarva Res 1

Tullygally started strong with Gerard Maguire scoring in the sixth minute. This was closely followed by a second from Mickey Rooney with a superb volley. The Gally went in 2-0 up at the half but it could have been a lot more.

Scarva started the second a lot stronger but never looked dangerous in front of the Gally goal. The Gally played some outstanding passing football and got their reward when a corner from Christopher Halfpenny was thumped in and Mickey Rooney got his brace via a Scarva defender.

They were reduced to 10 men after a wreckless challenge on Pete O'Connor left him unable to play and no subs were available for the Gally as they had been used up.

Scarva got a consolation goal in the 96th minute from a corner.

This was a great all round performance from the Gally Reserve, something which has been lacking of late with outstanding performances from Patrick McAlinden, Gerard Nugent, Christopher Halfpenny, Joseph Lavery, Gerard Maguire and Mark McConville who picked up man of the match.

Tullygally Reserves play Banbridge Rangers Reserves in the league next week in a top of the table clash at Kernan with a 2.15pm kick off.
