Go online with help in Crumlin

Have you always wanted to use social media, make a Skype call, or do your shopping online but haven’t because you can’t use the internet?

Crumlin is joining a national programme to create ‘Digital Champions’.

Digital Champions are people who know how to access the internet and who are willing to pass on their knowledge.

Through a new BT initiative being trialled by Antrim Borough Council, there are 12 spaces on a free accredited computer course taught by Supporting Communities NI, starting on March 28 for six weeks.

If you are able to commit to a six week training course on Friday’s from 10.30am-12.30pm and you are from the Crumlin area, then why not take part.

All you have to do in return is once you have your new computer skills you give at least three hours back by helping someone else take their journey into the digital world.

For more details on how to get involved in the project you can contact Fiona Kidd on 028 9446 3113,
