Four weeks to finish Pomeroy road works

A road resurfacing scheme for Pomeroy has been welcomed by Ulster Unionist MLA, Sandra Overend.

The Mid Ulster representative said the work, which will take around four weeks to complete, will be a “major benefit” to road users in the area.

Traffic controls will be used for the majority of the work, but a road closure will be required between 8-12 December to complete final surfacing, with diversions in place from the east of Pomeroy via Cookstown along the B4 Edendoit Road, A505 Drum Road and A29 Dungannon Road.

It is anticipated that following the first day of final surfacing access will re-open to the B43 Pomeroy Road for Dungannon bound traffic.

Ms Overend said: “I commend the Minister’s continued commitment to the Mid-Ulster area, and the investment of £200,000 to improve the Tandragee Road, Pomeroy.”
