Festival is back once again

The Dromara Festival is back once again with a series of events for all the family.

One of the main highlights of the week will get underway this coming Monday June 6 at Second Dromara Church Hall where there will be a Food Fayre and Cookery Demonstration by Paula McIntyre of Radio Ulster fame.

Local food producers will also be taking part including representatives from Abernrthy Butter, Carnbrook Meats and others. The event starts at 7pm and tickets are £5 and available from Mace Dromara and Carnbrook Meats.

That day there will also be a Pony Show at Mossvale Riding Club.

On Tuesday, June 7 there will be a Table Quiz run by the Local History Group in the Restaurant Square One at 8pm. All proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Care.

Then on Wednesday, June 8 there will be a 5K run and a fun run for children at 7pm from the centre.

There will be an afternoon Tea Party on Thursday June 9 that will include an exibition of crafts by the Thursday Club in the centre at 2.30pm. all proceeds will be in aid of Revive RVH.

On Friday, June 10 an evening of traditional music will be held in ‘Lagan View Arms.’

Also during the week there is a Pony Show at Mossvale Riding Club on Monday 6th June.

There will be a Veterans Football Challenge between Dromara Football Team and the local Gaelic Team on Tuesday June 7 at 7pm and also at the same time there is also a Cycling Gymkhana at the football club for children.

There is also a Youth Challenge for young folk in Second Dromara Church Hall on Friday at 8pm.

The Festival runs from May 27 untill June 12 ending with a Cross Community Service in St John’s Church June 12 at 3.30 pm
