Fairhill near ‘full capacity’

The Fairhill Centre in Ballymena is gearing up for its busiest Christmas in six years.

The Ballymena shopping complex has signed a host of new tenants in recent weeks reaching a level of tenancy not seen since 2008.

The five new additions, which include Crafty Magpie, Calendar Club, Sam’s Yard, Designer Outlet and Uberfone, means the centre is almost at full capacity for the run up to this key period in the retailing calendar.

These new lifestyle and fashion brands supplement the 55 existing retailers in the Centre such as Tommy Hilfiger, HMV, Marks & Spencer, Topshop, Next and Debenhams.

Natalie Jackson, Fairhill Marketing and Commercial Manager, said: “Fairhill has not had this level of tenancy since 2008 when the Centre was hit by recession.

“The new tenants will offer customers perfect gift and lifestyle ideas in the run up to Christmas and they highlight our commitment to satisfying the needs of our local community.

“We have made considerable financial investment in the Centre this year by completely refreshing our branding and website, hosting promotional events to drive footfall for our own retailers and working with the Ballymena Chamber to encourage shoppers back into the wider town centre.

“We are looking forward to a busy festive period and are positive that the new retailers will be an additional incentive for customers to visit.”
