Dickens: find out more at Flowerfield

DEBORAH LOGAN’s popular series of illustrated art history talks wraps up on Thursday, December 6 at 2.30pm, as she takes a look at the life of Charles Dickens and his relationship with the art world.

“Charles Dickens as a writer had a significant influence upon the art of his age,” says the art historian. “He liked art and in his day commissioned art from contemporary artists. Mr. Dickens was 200 years old last February. This talk will examine his links with art and artists.”

Deborah is renowned for her deft approach to the subject – her public lectures are rigorously researched but laced with humour and are very popular with both serious students of art as well as those with a more relaxed approach.

Admission is £5, which is payable at the door. For more details, get in touch with Flowerfield Arts Centre on (028) 7083 1400.
