The sit out will start on Monday, December 1 and will run until Christmas Eve.

Davy will be doing Fridays and Saturdays this year, but he is keen to stress that he needs helpers: “I was unable to do any of the sit out last year due to ill health,” told Davy, who has raised £440,000 for charity since he started. “This year I need volunteers for two shifts - 9am to 1.30pm, and then from 1.30 to 5.30 Monday to Thursday.

If you would like to help contact Davy or Denis McNeill. Names will be put into a hat and selected at random.

So far this year Davy has already raised £8,000, he hopes to raise £30,000.

In a new fund raiser this year, Davy wants to make a chain around the town hall with those taking part wearing Christmas jumpers! This event will take place on Saturday. December 20, he is asking those taking part to donate £5.
