Cut from car

The men were travelling along the Hall Road on Wednesday night when their car was struck by a white car which the ‘MAIL’ understands was stolen from an address in Belfast.

The white car did not stop following the crash and drove off in the direction of Waringstown.

Police received the report of the collision at around 11.15pm and they attended the scene along with the fire service.

Firefighters used cutting gear to release the driver and passenger from a grey Audi A6. The two men, aged 48 and 22, suffered neck and back injuries and were both taken to Craigavon Area Hospital by ambulance.

A short time later at 11.25pm a white Suzuki Swift was found on fire in the New Line area of Waringstown.

Fire crews were again on the scene to extinguish the blaze.

The vehicle was subsequently found to have been stolen during a robbery at Kensington Avenue in East Belfast on February 11.
