Woman’s purse snatched in Lurgan

Police said the 44-year-old was walking along an alleyway between Ardboe Drive and Trasna Way when she was approached from behind by someone who then ran off with her purse which contained a sum of cash.

Constable Kris King explained: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has information which could assist our investigation. We can be contacted on 101.

“I would also like to remind people to be mindful of their personal security when out and about on their own. Try to be aware of your surroundings and don’t carry valuables, such as mobile phones or mps players in full view. Don’t wear headphones so that you can hear anyone approaching. If you feel uncomfortable, whilst out and about, make your way to a busy area where there are plenty of other people around.
