Twenty Covid-19 fines issued by Mid Ulster PSNI

Police in Mid Ulster issued 43 Community Resolution Notices in the district between March and October 4, for breaches of Covid-19 rules.

According to statistics released by the PSNI on Monday, 20 Covid fines were issued - penalty notices starting at £60 - to people in the district since lockdown commenced.

Six commercial/private prohibition notices were issued to licensed premises, or for restrictions of gatherings in a private dwelling.

A total of 1,156 penalty notices were issued in the Province. The PSNI is planning to publish a breakdown of the numbers relating to action on the Executive’s regulations each week from now on.
