£6,000 in cash and car seized by PSNI

Mid Ulster police say the driver of a car is in custody after being lifted on warrant in Magherafelt.

They say a police crew stopped the vehicle on the Castledawson Road and found £6,000 in cash which was seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

In a social media post, police said the motorist is a disqualified driver and the car was seized for no insurance.

In a separate incident in the town, one person was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A and B drugs.
