Man bitten and 'bottled' in Coalisland

Police are appealing for witnesses to a reported attack in which a man was bitten and hit over the head with a bottle in Coalisland.

It is understood the incident took place in the Square in Coalisland on the afternoon of Monday, October 24.

Constable Agnew said : "It was reported on the afternoon of Monday 24th October, a male was assaulted in The Square in Coalisland.

"The assaulted male was hit on the head with a bottle and bitten, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

"We are appealing to anyone who may have any information or may have witnessed this incident to contact Dungannon Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 906 on 24/10/16.

"Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
