Man attacked in his home

A 62 YEAR old man sustained a three inch laceration to his head when he was attacked at his front door in the early hours of Sunday.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the elderly man was assaulted in the Barley Hill area of Lisburn.

The victim was hit on the head by an unknown assailant after he went to investigate banging at his front door at around 2am on Sunday.

The attacker then ran off towards Low Road.

He is described as around 18 years old, 5’ tall with short dark hair with a fringe. He was wearing a grey puffy jacket.
