Defective tyres admitted

Samuel Carson, 25, from Sandholes Road in Cookstown, has pleaded guilty to having defective brake light and tyres.

He was stopped in Dungannon by police on the early evening of August 27th.

His solicitor told the court that the father of two had successfully put the car through the MOT two months before, but admitted that he should’ve monitored their condition better.

District Judge John Meehan handed down fines totalling £270 as well as three penalty points.

He also imposed an offender’s levy of £15.
