Attempted robbery at Cityside shop
Detectives in Londonderry have arrested two men following the report of an attempted robbery at a shop in the Northland Avenue area on the evening of Friday, October 10.
Detective Inspector Cherith Craig said: “We received a report that just before 9pm a man armed with a knife had entered the shop and demanded money.
No money was handed over and the suspect was restrained by members of the public and duly arrested on the arrival of police at the scene. A second man believed to have been involved in this incident was arrested a short time later. The men, both aged 19, remain in custody at this time helping with enquiries.
