CRASH CONCERN
Roads Service have revealed plans to change the speed limit in the area between the roundabout shortly after Peggy's Loaning to the start of the national speed limit just after the dump from 30mph to 40mph.
But it has been met by anger and concern from residents including the Grove Meadows grandmother who said she was against the proposal.

"There's a large industrial estate next to us and a factory over the road - it's dangerous enough as it is without increasing the speed limit.
"As well as that it's already a very busy part of the road - it could be a disaster. I don't know why it needs to be increased; there is no need to change it."
The proposal was due to be debated at last night's (Monday) meeting of Banbridge District Council.

"It's a short distance before it goes to the national speed limit at the top of the hill, just past the industrial estate and last housing estate, before the recycling centre.
"How many more hazards do we need round there? I mean you have to pass three buses sometimes before you get past that junction. I can just see the head on crash that would cause!
Claire has been living in the area for the past 29 years and can remember a number of accidents taking place on the Scarva Road and doesn't want a situation where there could potentially be more.
