Council’s Chief Executive ‘sad’to leave post

Roger Wilson, Coleraine Borough Council’s Cheif Executive is to leave his post with Council after five and a half years.

Mr Wilson has accepted the offer of the post of Chief Executive in the new Lisburn and Castlereagh Council.

In a statement this week, Mr Wilson said he was sad to leave Coleraine Borough Counciland thanked the staff and councillors for their support.

“It is with great sadness that I will leave Coleraine Borough Council, as this is a great organisation with great people working for it.

“As the reform of Local Government gathers pace, I am in no doubt there will be further changes over the next 12-18 months.

“I would like to thank the staff, councillors and many friends I made in the Borough for their support during my time with Council and I hope that the change as it affects the Causeway Coast and Glens will be a positive one.”
