Copper piping and radiators stolen from Crumlin premises

Police are appealing for information following the report of a burglary in the Gortnagallon Road area of Crumlin.

It is reported that sometime between 10am on Wednesday, September 25 and 10am on Friday, October 4, a number of unknown persons gained entry to the commercial premises by smashing a pane glass window.

A number of fixture and fitting items were taken from the premises including copper piping, radiators, a boiler and filing cabinets, a treadmill (with green belt) and a workout bench etc.

Speaking of the incident, Antrim Response Inspector, Julian Buchanan, said: “Visible intruder alarms will often be a deterrent to a burglar.

“If you decide to have one fitted, make sure it is installed by a reputable company and meets recognised

standards required by the National Security Inspectorate or Security Systems and Alarms Inspectorate Board.

“We would also urge landlords to mark their boilers in such a way that in the unfortunate event it is stolen and later recovered we will be able to match it up to its rightful owner.”
