Cookstown man to stand trial over sex assaults and burglary

A Cookstown man will face trial on June 28 after he was accused of two sexual assaults and aggravated burglary with intent to commit GBH.

Gigi Mangeac, 30, from Cooke Crescent, is alleged to have performed the offences between September 4 and 7.

He is further charged with two assaults occasioning actual bodily harm, possession of a knife with intent to commit an assault, two counts of intending to pervert the course of justice, and common assault.

Gabriel Nitu, 20, will also face trial into two counts of intending to pervert the course of justice.
