Compost day at Discovery Centre

A COMPOST Demonstration day will be taking place today (Thursday) from 10am to 3pm at Lough Neagh Discovery Centre where you will be able to learn how to make compost as well as learning all about its benefits.

As well as a demonstration in compost making you will be able to ask questions and get your hands dirty as well as enter into a competition to win some great prizes!

“Compost is full of nutrients making it excellent for feeding plants and the humus in it helps to retain moisture in the soil – so as well as maintaining a beautiful garden you will also be helping the environment,” commented Jennifer Wilson, Recycling Officer at Craigavon Borough Council.
