Community carol service

THE Greater Glengormley Community Churches Forum will hold its annual Christmas celebration carol singing on Friday, December 7 and is calling on everyone to get involved.

People are encouraged to congregate at the Glengormley Christmas tree at 6pm and following a prayer the group will walk to Lilian Bland Community Park for carol singing and readings between 7pm and 8pm.

There will also be a large marquee and stalls offering a variety of foods including tea, coffee and mince pies.

Organiser Brian Mullan said: “We want this to be a celebration of everyone coming together. It won’t be the usual traditional carol service people expect but a fun-filled event for all the family to take part.

“Everyone will walk to the park from Glengormley carrying candles and glo sticks so it should be an incredible sight.

“There will also be choirs and bands taking part in the park, so it should be a fantastic occasion.

“Last year’s event was fantastically supported and hopefully everyone will come out again this year.”
