Club seeks volunteer driver

The club’s Chairman, Jim Magill, will be 70 in August and will no longer be able to drive the minibus which transports the pensioners to and from the centre each Saturday night.

They are now looking for volunteer drivers for their club on a Saturday night to transport pensioners to and from LaganView Enterprise Centre.

It would mean starting at around 5.30pm and not finishing until 10.30pm.

This club runs 38 weeks of the year from September until June, so it is critical they find someone reliable and dedicated to the task in hand.

Money is given to the driver, which they use for diesel, and the remainder is then kept by the driver as a small acknowledgement for their time. The driver would also be welcome to come in and join the club and avail of some light refreshments.

Ideally two drivers would be needed as this would mean there is always someone on back up.
