Cigarettes stolen following break-in at Belsize Road shop

A quantity of cigarettes were stolen following a break-in at a shop on the Belsize Road on Wednesday morning.

Thieves entered a supermarket just before 5am and then gained entry by forcing a rear window in the premises and a quantity of cigarettes were taken.

Detectives in Lisburn are appealing for information.

Detective Inspector Michelle Shaw said: “Thieves entered a supermarket in the area just before 5am on Wednesday.

Entry was gained by forcing a rear window in the premises and a quantity of cigarettes were taken.

“Anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity around the area is asked to contact detectives in Lisburn on 101 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
