Camogie tournament

A COUNTY Antrim camogie under-13/under-14 development squad blitz was held in Rasharkin.

The county U13 and U14 camogie development squad panel was split into four evenly matched teams of 11 (Antrim, Portglenone, Rasharkin and Rossa).

They played a round robin competition. Each team was assigned a manager; helped on the day by guest managers Karen McCormick and Sean Paul McKillop.

The matches were 7 mins per half, each team played at least 3 matches. The winning team in the end was Antrim in a very closely fought battle with Rossa.

Development Officer, Siobhan Poulter presented Siobhan McKillop, team captain on the day with the U14 Development Squad Blitz cup.

The U13/U14 management felt this was a very useful and competitive training tool allowing them to gauge the players skill level under match like conditions.
