Call for handrail at path

Sydney Anderson MLA has urged the DRD to look at ways of improving a footpath used by many as a shortcut to the town centre. Constituents have complained that the path at Maryville Estate is too dangerous to walk on when its wet or frosty and has asked that a handrail be installed along the footpath to Kenlis Street. Pedestrians using it say that you are forced to walk down a grass verge when it rains or freezes as the path it is too slippy to walk on.
