Bringing Hope Beyond Bars

And the mark the milestone Dr Noel Davidson has published a book - Bringing Hope Beyond Bars - featuring stories of the past three decades of the fellowship’s work.

Mr Davidson will be present at a special launch of the book at Ballymoney Baptist Church on Monday 30 April.

Mr Davidson is a retired headmaster who has been writing Christian biographies for more than 20 years.

He has developed a distinctive style which has resulted in his books becoming immensely popular.

Also present will be Robin Scott, Director of Prison Fellowship Northern Ireland, and John Porter - a volunteer for the group - will be singing.

Ballymoney man Ivor Wallace will be interviewed on the evening about his experiences delivering fellowship to those in prison.

The synopsis of Bringing Hope Beyond Bars reads:

“The Bible says, ‘John heard in prison what Christ was doing.’

“How did he hear? Easy, of course. Somebody must have told him.

“That’s what Prison Fellowship Northern Ireland has been doing for the last 30 years - dedicating to telling people what Christ has done and what He still can do for them today.”

For every copy of the book sold a copy will be made available free of charge to someone currently in prison.
