The other new features included glamping cabins and a rural interpretive sculpture to complement the rural aspect of the Drumaheglis’ enviable location in beautiful countryside alongside the Lower Bann River.

Ald. Bill Kennedy stated, “These additions complement and complete the current investment into Drumaheglis Marina & Caravan Park and will further enhance this beautiful, rural, riverside location, which formally links the River Bann to the famous Causeway Coastal Route.”

This Drumaheglis project has been supported by the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme managed by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Outdoor Activity Centre is the final element of extensive investment into facilities at Drumaheglis, which has included a new multi-purpose building which includes ‘wet’ facilities, glamping cabins, children’s activity area, outdoor gym equipment, floating pontoon with canoe steps and disabled access and a sculpture.
