Armed car thief threatens driver

The driver of a silver Nissan Quashquai was ordered out of his vehicle and threatened by two men, one armed with a firearm, during a car hi-jacking on the Wheeler’s Road near Hannahstown, last Wednesday night.

At around 10.05pm, the vehicle was travelling along the road when a dark coloured Ford Mondeo stopped in front of it and forced the car to stop.

The thieves, one armed with a firearm, then got out of their car and approached the driver of the other vehicle.

The driver was then ordered out of his vehicle and the two men then drove off towards the Tornagrough Road area. The man is not believed to have been injured. Detectives in Lisburn are investigating the incident.
