Accused of chip shop robberies
A Larne man accused of robbing a chip shop of money on three occasions has appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court via video link from Hydebank Wood College and has been remanded in continuing custody.
Jamie McCombe (20), of Craigyhill Bungalows, faces charges related to incidents at ‘The Hillstop’ takeaway at Upper Cairncastle Road, Larne.
He is accused of robbing the shop on January 13, January 14 and April 4 this year.

He is also alleged to have had a firearm or imitation firearm during the January incidents and faces a fifth charge of possessing cannabis - on October 27. A defence lawyer asked for the case to be adjourned to November 10 to get a suitable bail address.
