Accused of causing GBI while unfit
A BALLYMENA man has appeared in court on a charge of causing grievous bodily injury while driving carelessly when unfit due to drink or drugs.
Gary Lee Weir (23), of Drumtara, faces five other charges including driving while unfit due to drink or drugs; dangerous driving; failing to stop at the scene of an injury accident; failing to remain at the scene; and failing to report an accident.
The offences are alleged to have taken place at Tullygarley Road on January 17.
Weir’s case was adjourned until March 18, when he appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court.
