‘toast’ now on the menu in Cullybackey

Located in extensive premises in the very heart of the village at 93-95 Main Street, ‘toast’ is an exciting new venture for owners, Cullybackey sisters Leanne Wiseman and Lynette Millar and their family.

Over the past six months, they have transformed the premises into what is now a coffee shop/bistro and much more!

‘toast’ has been in the pipeline for some 10 years since the family Spar was taken over by the Henderson Group and tomorrow will see the plans finally come to fruition, when the doors open for the first time.

Customers of the borough’s newest cafe/bistro can enjoy fabulously fresh and tasty, homemade fare from breakfasts to lunches and everything in between including snacks and elevenses and customers will also receive free top ups on filtered coffee and tea.

A takeaway service is also available and while afternoon teas can be served, booking in advance is required.

Provision will also be available for those who require a gluten free diet and ‘toast’ also plans to introduce customer loyalty cards shortly.

The main seating area within the tastefully decorated premises can cater for 60 people and features audio visual facilities - ideal when catering functions or other special events, while the smaller front room, featuring sofas and soft furnishings, caters for around 30 people in relaxed surroundings. Free wi-fi is available throughout the premises.

Business people are also well catered for upstairs where there is a boardroom/private meeting room which will hold up to a 
dozen people.

Leanne and Lynette plan to attract businesses and organisations to ‘toast’ who may be looking for a temporary ‘out of office’ venue for meetings, interviews etc. and point out that the room, which will also have facilities for presentations/training, will be a free-of-charge facility.

“Cullybackey is a busy village which has excellent schools and many businesses in and around it and we are confident that ‘toast’ will be a great addition to the area,” they said.

“Initially, ‘toast’ will employ 10 people with potential to increase this as the business expands. Not only is this good news for the community but local suppliers will also benefit as we will be using many locally sourced products,” the sisters added.

Toast also has the added advantage of having 20 car parking spaces to the rear of its premises and has excellent access and facilities for disabled customers.

Opening hours will initially be Monday to Saturday from 8am to 5pm and evening functions can be arranged by request.
