Jobless figuresincrease by 6%
The number of people who are unemployed in the Coleraine Borough Council area has risen by more than 6% since last year.
According to figures released for the month of December 2011 by the Labour Market, there are now 1,873 people out of work - 1,334 men and 539 women.
Those figures represent a rise of 112 people or 6.4% on the same time last year.
There was, however, a fall in the jobless total of 0.3% since November 2011.
