This Lisburn based precision engineering company has demonstrated during a crisis another reason why it is the worthy winner of the 2020 Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Innovation Award.

Mayor Councillor Alan Givan recently visited Ad-Vance Engineering to meet with Managing Director Roger Vance to see their production line.

“Following the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic the Lisburn Castlereagh community has truly stepped up to help others,” said Mr Givan. “Ad-vance Engineering has helped to address the shortage of PPE equipment by designing and producing NHS approved visors. It is great to see a local company continuing to operate during this crisis to provide a new product that is much needed support to our frontline workers.”

Ad-Vance Engineering has collaborated with Glen Dimplex, Heroshield and Plastics 2000 on this new innovative project.

“It is a privilege at this time to be able to provide elements of protection to our healthcare workers who are selflessly helping others during this pandemic,” added Mr Vance.
