Win tickets to Give My Head Peace at the Opera House

FOLLOWING last year’s sell-out shows across Northern Ireland, audiences were left wanting more and the good news is that the award-winning team from Give My Head Peace have just kicked off a province wide tour of their brand-new stage show, Give My Head Peace Live.

The tour will be stopping off in Lisburn at the Island Hall on Thursday May 3 before setting up for a five day residency at the Grand Opera House in Belfast.

Ma, Da, Cal, Billy and Uncle Andy are joined this year by Ulster’s most terrifying cleric, Pastor Begbie (Paddy Jenkins, whose credits include Dancing Shoes - the George Best Story and most recently Shoot the Crow among many others).

The 2012 tour of Give My Head Peace Live features up to date satire, hilarious sketches and acclaimed stand-up from Tim McGarry and an appearance by the fabulous McDowell Brothers. Give My Head Peace Live is a laugh-out-loud night of fun.

The Olympics, Glasgow Rangers, our famous golfers and the Titanic year for Northern Ireland all get the Give My Peace treatment in this brand new up to the minute show. Why is Uncle Andy so reluctant to talk about the Titanic? Is Cal really the new Rory McIlroy? Dympna is in hospital having a baby- but who is the father? And why does Alex Higgins keep turning up?

Producer Tim McGarry said: “We are thrilled to be on road again with our new show – it’s the perfect antidote to the recession. There will be a few surprises but audiences will enjoy a good night of guaranteed laughs.”
