Prolific output from dead singer
For a man who’s dead more than 10 years, Johnny Cash’s output has been prolific.
Out Among The Stars is Cash’s third album to be released posthumously. The songs were recorded with Billy Sherrill in the 1980s but were ‘lost’ by his record company.
Like a freshly discovered blurry photograph of a long-dead loved one, this collection of songs gives rise to brief elation, but ultimately fans of Cash will return to his sharper, more celebrated work. GC
