This long-established fair is one of the most popular and varied in the borough, where friends and supporters of the congregation can view and purchase from local exhibitors, the ladies’ cake stall, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a traybake and scone, meet Santa, find the answers to a quiz or have their child’s face painted.

Santa will be in attendance distributing goodies, so have your camera/phone/tablet to hand!

The variety of stalls is extensive offering an ideal selection of seasonal gifts.

As in other years these include Kildowney Garden Centre with their interesting range of plants and floral wreaths, The Bookcase, Portrush, displaying many local and rare publications, alongside Alastair McCook whose specialist books and unique photographs appeal to many.

Miribilia plan to show their latest presentation of hand-made jewellery alongside a similar theme from Megagems.

Forever Living Products, Londonderry, return with their Aloe Vera and other beauty products after making many new friends in previous years and My Little Teashop has become a firm favourite with those with a sweet tooth.

Joys Knit-Knots present a refreshing range of children’s knits/crocheting. The R.N.L.I. proved a tremendous attraction last year, quickly running low on stocks of delightful gifts for children and adults alike.

Sam Swart, trading as Crafty Cats, makes another appearance presenting their speciality fabric painting which has always proved popular.

Taylor’s Potatoes, fits the seasonal bill at the Fair, as does the seasonal berried holly and donated quality plants.

The churches’ Youth Fellowship plan a craft and sweet catering table in aid of the nationwide Ebola Appeal and deserve everyone’s support.

Of course the ladies’ efforts in home baking and catering is the main attraction and they never fail to rise to the occasion.

Christmas cakes and puddings will be available alongside shortbread, sponges and traybakes, while those attending are invited to participate in enjoying an array of buttered scones and pastries accompanied by a cuppa of tea or coffee, all included in the admission price of £3. Add to all this the pleasure of meeting old friends and making new ones and a enjoyable and rewarding Saturday morning is assured.
