Get writing at Focus on Family course

This course will get your creative writing going by setting weekly tasks to accomplish and share with other writers. 

Each week different prompts will be given and skills practiced.  Hopefully, you will have a chance to be inspired by others and discover the real joy of being creative. 

The class starts on July 3 and will run every Thursday morning from 10.30am-12.30pm at Focus on Family and the six-week course, costing £10 will cover:

Thursday, July 3 - What is more important, plot or character?

Thursday, July 10 - Plot breakdown and describing characters

(Note – no class 17th July due to centre closure)

Thursday, July 24 - Examples read - Poems/short story/ novels/plays/screenwriting

Thursday, July 31 - Research/news articles/history/people to fuel creatively

Thursday, August 7 - Discover your interest – mystery, suspense, adventure, fantasy, science fiction, romance
