Eyes on the prize

CARRICKFERGUS Camera Club is to host a special exhibition on 25 January.

It will feature the top entries from the ‘Motion’ competition by members of local camera clubs, along with all of the Northern Ireland Photographic Association (NIPA) affiliated camera clubs.

Recently, Antrim Road-based Christian Brothers Camera Club and Merville Camera Club scored some great results at the second round of the competition season with their set of ‘Open’ themed photographs. On the night, Christian Brothers took first place in both the Colour prints and Monochrome prints sections as well as three other top placings and as a result are now leading the league table. Merville had top five places in the Colour prints which puts them in third place overall of the competing clubs in the province.

The Carrick-based clubs also did well with top ten placings to keep them high up the rankings with Carrickfergus Camera Club in fifth and Carrickfergus Photographic Society in joint sixth, only three points apart.
