David’s home town is part of his music

Singer songwriter David Patterson has produced an ode to Lurgan backed with an excellent music video which is of interest to both the people of the town and those from lands afar.

David, who performed during a Remembrance concert at the Waterfront Hall last November, made the video for ‘My Old Town’ along with Living Witness Productions.

It features various locations around the town as David sings about Lurgan’s past, present and his hopes for a brighter future.

He said: “I wanted to paint a real picture of Lurgan. It’s a divided town, but it’s a town people are proud to call home. Lurgan is where my heart is.

“I lived in Portrush for three years and when I came back I saw how much it had changed, yet how much it had stayed the same.”

David doesn’t shy away from issues and has made a name for himself with original songs covering issues such as war, love and the topical state of affairs.
