R-Space exhibition boasts special guest

Visitors to Lisburn’s R-Space gallery on Saturday were able to enjoy a talk by renowned embroidery artist Louise Gardiner, who had travelled over from Manchester for the opening of the current exhibition ‘Tattoo Me’.

Discussing the development of her artistic career, Louise revealed that her quilt ‘The Liberty Lighthouse of Love’, commissioned by Liberty of London in celebration of its 140th anniversary, had to be completed in just 25 days.

The quilt will be on display, alongside other works that refer to tattoo imagery and culture, until May 20.

Admission to the exhibitin is free.
