Comedy Club at the Waterfront and Ulster Hall is back with a vengeance, courtesy of not one, not two… but seven nights of sensational stand up.
First up are I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue - The Official Stage Tour (Thursday March 5) and Milton Jones (Friday March 6). And far from being clueless, these kings of comedy represent some of the sharpest wits in the business.
I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue - BBC Radio’s multi award-winning antidote to panel games - features Barry Cryer, Graeme Garden, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Tony Hawks, who is replacing Jeremy Hardy for the show, and host Jack Dee for a hilarious evening of inspired nonsense. Colin Sell provides piano accompaniment.
The show has been delighting fans since 1972 and continues to enjoy a long and successful run on BBC Radio 4.The format of the game is very simple: four players are given silly things to do by the chairman, with Colin Sell setting some of them to music.
Milton Jones’ new show is The Temple of Daft. He is a regular on BBC2’s Mock the Week and has brought the house down with his hilariously absurd one-liners on BBC 1’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Live at the Apollo.
Away from the live stage, Milton has written a novel called Where Do Comedians Go When They Die? which reveals what it’s really like to tell jokes for a living.
Looking further ahead, comedy superstars heading to Comedy Club at the Waterfront and Ulster Hall also include Jimeoin (Saturday October 24) and Stewart Francis (Tuesday December 1). There are a very limited number of tickets remaining for Dylan Moran (Sunday 17 May). Dara O’Briain (Tuesday March 10 - Saturday March 14) and Alan Carr (Friday November 27 and Saturday November 28) have both added extra dates due to phenomenal demand.
Comedy Club events are strictly for over 16 only, unless otherwise stated. For Milton Jones, under 14s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+.
