Jason Derulo thrills fans in Belfast

US superstar Jason Derulo (I'm not singing that, honestly) wowed fans at the SSE Arena, Belfast last night.

The Want to Want Me hitmaker brought his ‘Everything is 4’ world tour to the city, heating up a cool winter night with a high-energy show that thrilled the sell-out crowd.

Ably supported by former JLS star Aston Merrygold, who said he was delighted to be back in his mother’s home town, fans were more than ready for the main man himself.

A four minute countdown - afterall, everything is 4 - ramped up the excitement levels and screams filled the arena as Derulo’s accomplished dancers arrived on stage, before the star himself appeared on a raised level, dressed in white, shades in place, looking slick.

Fans were on their feet - where they stayed for the rest of the night - dancing and singing along as Derulo launched into hit single Trumpets.

The tempo remained high as up next was Wiggle, and so the rest of the night followed, with hit after hit on the agenda.

From The Other Side to Ridin’ Solo and Whatcha Say, the hits kept on coming.

Slowing things down, Derulo showed off his impressive vocal range performing Secret Love Song, a beautiful duet recorded with Little Mix, and the superb Marry Me.

Meanwhile, one lucky fan became Derulo’s It Girl when he picked someone from the crowd to serenade on stage.

However, the rest of the audience weren’t too disappointed as the r’n’b superstar often displayed his impressive physique, dancing in the ‘rain’ in one enjoyable display.

More hits followed with Derulo beginning an acoustic version of Don’t Want to Go Home, before the beat kicked in and Belfast went wild.

And when the star arrived in the middle of the crowd things got even crazier.

With a setlist including Get Ugly, Try Me featuring J.Lo, Breathing, In My Head and Talk Dirty, there was no surprise when chants of ‘Jason, Jason’ filled the arena as fans called for more.

Derulo didn’t disappoint, returning to the stage for one more song, performing the number one hit Want to Want Me.

Fans left the arena still singing and dancing, and if they are anything like me, they’ll have Derulo’s infectious hits stuck on repeat in their heads for days to come.
