Wallace Medallion side reach shield semi final with comprehensive win

Wallace medallion side reached the semi-final of the Medallion Shield following a comprehensive 31-7 win over a physical Omagh side in Tyrone last Saturday.

Played in heavy conditions, Wallace took an early 7-0 lead following a score from Ben Carson, converted by Connor Rankin.

Wallace dominated possession in the first half and went on to score two further unconverted tries from Connor Rankin and Sam Hayes to take a 17-0 advantage into the second half.

Following the break, Wallace began to play some good expansive rugby scoring two well worked 7 point scores from Jack Dillon and Jack Bailey.

Omagh’s hard work played off with consolation try in the last play of the game.

Wallace play Belfast Royal Academy on the 27th February 2016, venue TBC.
