With Wallace High sitting at top spot in the Rugby Rankings and Omagh at 13th I went to this game expecting a comfortable win for Wallace.

However it was Omagh that set the early pace with the visitors dominating the first half against an out of sorts home team.

Omagh ran in an early try and added a second about ten minutes later to take a 3 – 12 lead after Nathan Doak had pulled back three points with a penalty for the home side.

The Academy dominated the contact areas and were good value for their lead going into the break.

It was a different Wallace that came out for the second half with their play looking much more focused.

An early try pulled the score back to 10 – 12 before a six minute purple patch saw them cross twice more and receive a penalty try which took the score to 29 – 12.

Omagh looked for a response but Wallace were now well on top and the visitors were restricted to a few breaks from deep, the home side adding a fifth try before the end of the game.

The Wallace scores came from Dillon Sedge, Luke Allison, Ben Carson, Jack Dillon and one penalty try.

Nathan Doak adding two conversions to his first half penalty.
